Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy
Much can be done through physical therapy for the mechanical causes of headaches, neck and back pain,
the most common problems seen in medical offices today. At Jacksonville Physical Therapy, we are
trained in treating orthopedic-related problems and helping people recover from surgery or injuries to
muscles, bones and joints.
We emphasize thorough assessment of the patient's condition to determine the appropriate treatment.
Specific manual therapy and therapeutic exercise is used to speed recovery. We also teach patients about
the condition, and the patient learns techniques to help themselves through self-care and home exercise.
Our therapists utilize the Mulligan Concept manual therapy treatment techniques. Both are certified
Mulligan practitioners and experienced manual physical therapists.
Sports and Work-Related Injuries
We are experienced in treating athletes - from those in high school to elite Olympic and professional
competitors, including those in the NBA, NFL and Major League Baseball. Treatment for all types of
athletic and work-related injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation, is performed in the most
aggressive - yet safe - manner.
